Dokuji Nami San Mai bohi katana

Thaitsuki swords are produced in very low numbers, each sword taking many hours to forge and to fit and assemble each hand made component. The completed katana or wakizashi is nothing less than a unique, functional work of art.

The Dokuji Nami San Mai katana is continuing the Thaitsuki tradition featuring a hand forged and folded high carbon steel blade with 1024 layers, this is among the upper echelon for the sword collector.

Forged, polished and sharpened entirely by hand, this is simply one of the finest Japanese katana blades you will ever see! Pure silver fittings with a Nami motif as well blue silk over ivory rayskin tsuka round out this stunning katana samurai sword. The Dokuji nami katana (sanmai) is a fully functional Japanese katana and not a replica, it is considered a weapon and it is extremely sharp. This sword can easily sever a 7" thick bamboo with single stroke. The Furui shishi katana can be completely disassembled for full maintenance This is a high end katana that will appeal to the discriminating collector or serious practitioner.

Note: The blue cotton used, sometimes varies in intensity. It is often a darker blue than the photo up to royal blue.
