Tsuru Hineri-Maki Katana: made according to the aesthetic and performance criteria of our armory.
A powerful, totally functional, battle-ready, super sharp weapon for rigorous cutting exercises.
The blade is forged 1060 high carbon steel with grooves (bo-hi) on both sides of the blade, which allows for a lighter blade and audible feedback when swung.
The tsuba has a high quality Tsuru motif ( Japanese crane) tsuba. The Tsuka (handle) core is wooden and it is tightly wrapped over genuine Ray skin Samegawa with blue synthetic silk Ito done in the way of hineri-maki.
The Fuchi (sleeve) and Kashira (buttcap) are made of alloy with Tsuru theme. The Tang of the sword is secured by two bamboo Mekugi (peg) .
Two brass Tsuru Menuki (ornament) are on each side of the Tsuka.
The SAYA (sheath) of the sword is hard wooden with a black high gloss finish. Sageo(cord) has been tied around the bright brass Kurigaga (knob) of the scabbard. the Koiguchi (scabbard mouth) has been hardened.
This is a truly Samurai sword very suitable for cutting exercices. it is also allows you to make a collection of realistic, yet beautiful samurai sword, or to present one to your friend.
